    The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser is back to doing what the badge has always meant: a four-wheel-drive SUV you can actually take somewhere remote. This one carries the Premium Package, finished in brown over a Java interior, with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and an eight-speed automatic.

    Heated and ventilated seats front and rear are the headline for anyone who has spent a January in Ohio, and the steering wheel is heated too. Both front seats are eight-way power. A power tilt-and-slide moonroof with a power sunshade opens up the cabin, and rear air conditioning keeps the second row comfortable on its own thermostat.

    Toyota's driver-assist suite is comprehensive here: a pre-collision system, lane keeping, blind spot monitor with lane change assist, front cross traffic alert, a rear parking camera and automatic high-beam headlights. A head-up display keeps the essentials in your sight line.

    Drive Connect cloud navigation is built in, alongside Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, JBL premium audio and SiriusXM. Digital Key capability lets you use your phone in place of the fob, and HomeLink handles the garage door. Rain-sensing wipers, a power liftgate, side steps, a retractable cargo cover and an all-weather cargo mat cover the practical side.

      If you want to look good going there AND coming back, get a land cruiser. Center and rear locking diff, 4 Low, full time 4 wheel drive (not in 4Runner), and 465 lb-ft of torque make this a beast! It lives up to the name and has lots of aftermarket support for off-roading and overlanding. It’s the real deal!…

      For it's size, the Land Cruiser is nimble in acceleration and the drive assist features are excellent for longer trips. Ours gets about 23.8 mpg, which is much better than our last SUV. Having hybrid energy really helps with the range. Ours gets about 375 per tank. The interior is very comfortable. I suggest not bothering with the cool box in the front (we like it because we live in a warm weather state and use it for camping). It tows very well and overall is very handy for camping, off-roading, and hauling.…
